Mountain Gorillas

 Mountain Gorillas are one of the most intelligent apes on earth and over the years these wonderful creatures population has lowered immensely. Poaching is illegal but that hasnt stopped many people from doing it. Many people such as Dian Fossey and Jane Goodall have been determined to stop greedy poachers from killing Mountain gorillas and other apes but unfortunately they did not successfully stop them. There is around 700 mountain gorillas still surviving in Africa but if something isnt done the mountain gorilla will surely become extinct. These primates DNA is 97%-98% identical to the human DNA and they are the next closest living thing to the human after two chimpanzee species and they are the largest of the living primates. To tell which gorilla is which scientist noticed every gorilla has its own distinctive nose print. A Mountain Gorilla can eat 50 lbs of vegetation a day, that is why their stomachs are so large. The Mountain Gorilla's stomach must be large to be able to digest all of that food.
